Love Island hooks up with WKD for the second year

ITV dating show Love Island has named drinks brand WKD as its official alcohol partner for the eight series starting next month.

As a result of the returning partnership, broadcast media, co-branded promotional packs, significant in-store activity and a social, digital and influencer campaigns will be launched.

This will also include WKD-themed content featuring the Islanders.

A Love Island promotion in pubs and bars will be also be created for the first time this year as an additional strand of the campaign.

“We’re really proud to be linking with Love Island for a second time; we’re the perfect couple and just meant to be together,” head of brand at WKD Alison Gray said.

“The programme is a TV phenomenon with huge reach and fans can’t get enough of it. In a fragmented media landscape, the continued success of Love Island highlights just how much our target consumers still relish a shared media experience.”

The news comes as Boots was named the official beauty partner Love Island, with Boots products, including perfume, makeup, skincare, grooming products and haircare, will be stocked in the villa .
