Tesco supercharges in-store digital advertising network

News

Supermarket chain Tesco is significantly expanding its in-store digital advertising network with the addition of its 1,800th screen – marking the largest in the UK grocery market.

Tesco has grown its in-store network considerably over the past several months – it still numbered only 400 screens in March this year – which can now boast a presence across 420 of the retailer’s stores nationwide.

The network has now grown to such an extent that it is the largest retail out-of-home network in the country, enabling Tesco to display animated content and visuals to support in-store campaigns and product launches.

“We’re really proud of our digital in-store screen network – the UK grocery market’s largest. Using our unrivalled insight, we’re able to give our customers advertising that is relevant to them, while at the same time giving our suppliers the opportunity to showcase their products in creative and innovative ways,” Tesco chief customer officer, Ashwin Prasad said.

This latest boost will support Tesco’s existing network of 500 front-of-store screens, which leverage the grocer’s extensive customer insight capabilities to offer a distinctly personalised shopping experience for its consumers.
