TikTok updates Promote feature to help small creators and businesses

TikTok has unveiled a new update to its Promote feature, to help businesses and creators turn their organic content into ads to reach new audiences.

With the new feature, the social media platform has announced it is making advertising “easier” and “more accessible” for the community.

These features include an new added Promote goal allowing creators to drive traffic back to their TikTok page to help tell their brand’s story or show off a range of products or services, getting more personal messages from potential customers and targeting audience by location..

Creators can also use Promote for others to give a boost to the content, creators and businesses they want the world to see.

This comes as studies show that promoting organic content helps improve overall paid ad performance as ads perform better when people are first primed by organic content.

 

According to a study by Neurons, seeing an organic TikTok video before a paid ad increases aided brand recall by 27% and branding on the ads gets attention 12% longer.
