Apple’s accessibility-focused ‘The Greatest’ ad has won a 2023 Emmy award for Outstanding Commercial, after the long-delayed ceremony finally took place after the resolution of the actors’ and writers’ strikes.
Developed in-house by the tech firm’s London team, the film highlights the wide range of accessibility features available via the iPhone and the iPad in celebration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

By winning this Emmy, Apple caps off an impressive 2023 in which its also secured an Entertainment Lion for Music Grand Prix at Cannes Lions in June, which was also shortlisted for a Titanium Lion.
Apple’s ad fended off stiff competition from six other nominees, which indluded The Farmer’s Dog Forever Super Bowl ad, The Cost of Beauty by Dove, The Singularity by SquareSpace and three more Apple spot – Apple TV+’s Call Me with Timothée Chalamet, AirPods Pro’s Quiet the Noise and R.I.P Leon.
