The 12-month partnership follows Forest Green Rovers being widely recognised as the world’s greenest football club due to the numerous changes made by its chairman, Dale Vince OBE.

The club has introduced the first organic football pitch, created football shirts made from recycled plastic and ground coffee and launched a commitment to veganism within the club.

In addition, team’s continued partnership has been the catalyst for Go Up’s two award-winning manifestos — a Green Manifesto and a Happiness Manifesto.

“We’re thrilled to confirm our partnership with Forest Green Rovers for another season. The club continues to lead the way in how organisations could and should be run – with an eye on the future,” said Go Up’s managing director Tom Skinner.

“Our shared vision drives us to explore innovative approaches, champion sustainable strategies and set new benchmarks for others to follow. Alongside FGR, we strive to inspire individuals, businesses, and entire industries to embrace sustainability and take meaningful action.”

The news comes in the wake of the sustainable football team collaborating with rock band the Grateful Dead to release environmentally-friendly co-branded travel wear.
