Pinterest and Dentsu UK team up to boost brands’ performance on platform

Pinterest and agency Dentsu UK&I have teamed up to offer brands an exclusive initiative designed to boost their performance on the visual inspiration platform.

The partnership will help to deliver business growth while providing clients’ teams with specialist training to become ‘certified Pinterest experts’.

The exclusive collaboration marks the first time Pinterest has collaborated with a UK agency network in this way.

“We’re delighted to partner with Dentsu to help clients inspire and engage their audiences on Pinterest,” Pinterest head of UK agency Carli Gooch said.

“Pinterest has an incredibly unique proposition for brands, from the commercial intent of our users to the accuracy of our trend predictions, and the positive environment we’re deliberately building – that we know encourages purchase behaviour. As marketing budgets across the board are being squeezed, it’s more important than ever for brands to deliver campaigns that will have genuine impact and ultimately drive sales.”

Carat UK client Wickes is one of the first brands to pilot ‘Nexus’, a new free-of-charge one year support programme from Pinterest and Dentsu which includes a tailored growth plan that focuses on bespoke objectives and challenges. The new programme offers partners a wide-ranging education initiative delivered by specialists at both Dentsu and Pinterest to develop their teams’ understanding of Pinterest and the wider social landscape.

Wickes social media marketing manager, Gemma Lovell, added: “With Pinterest being a key social channel for Wickes, we’re always looking for ways to test and learn to elevate our activity on the platform. We are excited to be part of dentsu and Pinterest’s Nexus programme this year which will allow us to do this alongside market leading experts, as well as be guided by bespoke insights designed to help us meet business objectives.”

Dentsu UK managing director of performance media, Chris Howard, concluded: At dentsu we’re passionate about performance, learning and innovating with our platform partners to drive growth for our clients. This exclusive collaboration with Pinterest offers a truly unique opportunity for brands to tap into expertise across both dentsu and Pinterest for free, helping them to maximise success on the platform through best-in-class strategy, creative, media optimisation and measurement whilst boosting their teams’ skills with Pinterest Academy accreditation.”
