Quorn OOH stunt asks Number 10 to stop telling ‘porkies’

Quorn, the meat substitute brand, has parked an out-of-home advertisement outside 10 Downing Street to ask the now ex-Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, to stop telling ‘porkies’.

The news comes hours after it was announced that Liz Truss will become the new UK prime minister.

A bright orange sandwich van was spotted outside number 10 bossing a ‘no more porkies’ sign, with a delivery man also dropping off a pork-free ham sandwich for Johnson’s good-bye lunch.

The PR stunt intends to poke fun at the ex-Conservative Party leader’s variety of scandals that ultimately led to his forced resignation on July 7.

Supported by Ponderosa on the brand’s social media accounts, the OOH campaign was led by Taylor Herring.

On July 14, meditation and sleep app Calm poked fun at Boris Johnson’s resignation in a out-of-home (OOH) campaign.

The OOH campaign read: ‘Just resigned? Take a deep breath,’ and featured across the TfL’s network of trains and train stations.

Amazon Prime also produced a witty OOH activation in June, using comedy series The Boys to poke fun at Westminster’s rampant partying culture.

The signs, placed outside the Houses of Parliament, read: “The Boys is a fictional series about controversial leaders with a penchant for parties. Lots of parties.

“Any resemblance to reality is purely coincidental.”
