Walkers and Pizza Hut deliver a slice of humour in new ad

Walkers and Pizza Hut have teamed up to create a comedic campaign spot, promoting the crisps giant’s new flavour fusion.

Director by Missing Links Film’s, Alicia McDonald, the 23-second film depicts two delivery drivers at the seaside, wearing branded Pizza Hut uniforms.

The film focuses on an individual crisps packet, as the delivery drivers are on a rest break, eating the new Walkers’ Max Pepperoni Feat and Texan BBQ flavour.

As one driver brings up a crisp to the camera, the other question ‘Does a Pepperoni Feast Pizza even work? How deep would the box need to be?”, adding ” All the toppings would be uneven!”

Taking a bite, her colleague attempts to do the same before a nearby fisherman’s cast swipes the crisp from his grasp.

The witty spot ends with the colleague looking defeated stating “You don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone”, before a voice note concludes “Pizza on Ridges? Now a Thing.”

The film follows in the wake of the PepsiCo-owned crisps giant and pizza chain collaborating to unveil a joint-brand flavour earlier this year.

The new campaign also comes amid a series of recent creatives for Walkers, including a new Halloween spot with post-production house POD LDN, which used recycled footage to meet PepsiCo’s sustainability targets.
