Ocean Outdoors brings Wimbledon to the big screen

Ocean Outdoors will present two weeks of live action from Wimbledon across its UK network of digital screens alongside two interactive tennis-themed pop-ups.

Open daily from Monday 3 July to Sunday 16 July, the activation includes a return of the flagship Wimbledon Experience W12, presented in association with Westfield London.

The W12 Ocean activation includes table tennis, a giant Vodafone racket seat embedded in the wall for a photo opportunities and a photobooth where fans can show their support for their favourite player on Ocean’s two large advertising screens in the square.

Tennis fans will also be able to watch matches live on a large screen located in Battersea Power Station.

The activations are supported by a social media hashtag, #FeelTheConnection, a consumer competition and sampling days at Battersea Power Station with other Wimbledon partners, including Polo Ralph Lauren and Sipsmith gin.

The initiative marks a six-year partnership with the All England Lawn Tennis Club and a two-year association with Vodafone.

“Both tennis experiences allow Wimbledon partners to connect directly with families and tennis fans in two of London’s best entertainment and leisure spaces.” said Ocean Outdoor head of content and sponsorship, Kevin Henry.

“Where better to soak up the atmosphere of the best Championships in the world?”

In addition to the tennis experiences, the out-of-home (OOH) media specialist will carry selected highlights from The Championships across its wider network on 46 large format full motion screens in 13 UK cities.

The loop will include 60 seconds of Wimbledon content including a live scoreboard provided by Official Information Technology Partner IBM, bespoke creative and 20 second daily match highlights throughout the duration of the event.
