Marcus Rashford earns £38k per sponsored Instagram post as influencer marketing continues to grow

England and Manchester United forward, Marcus Rashford earns up to £37,950 per sponsored Instagram post.

According to research conducted by online casino comparison experts KingCasinoBonus.uk, Rashford is the ‘most influential member’ of the England squad, with a follower count of almost 13 million and an engagement rate of 3.28%. The football player, who scored against Iran in the Qatar World Cup last week, has received widespread praise for his work in providing free school meals for children across the UK.

Following closely behind, England captain Harry Kane and regular national team starter Raheem Sterling have been named the second and third most ‘influential’ members of the England squad, earning £36,997 and £27,661 per post. While Kane beats Sterling’s follower count by 13.3 million to 10 million, Sterling boasts a higher engagement rate of 1.27% trumping Kane’s 0.36%, the lowest of any member in the England squad.

The news comes as influencer marketing continues to gain popularity among brands. Most recently, Made.com partnered with social media platform Pinterest to launch an ‘Idea Ads with Paid Partnerships’ campaign, in a bid to collaborate with the platform’s creators and influencers.

Trent Alexander Arnold, Phil Foden, Jack Grealish, Mason Mount, Jordan Henderson, Luke Shaw and Harry Maguire, also make the top 10 most ‘influential’ list, earning between £22,308 to £10,380 for each sponsored Instagram post. Foden and Mount both share the pole position for the highest engagement rate of the bunch, 7.17%.

“The past success of the England team at the 2018 World Cup and the Euros last year brought the country together and catapulted many of the players to a bigger level of stardom,” a spokesperson from KingCasinoBonus.uk said.

“It will be interesting to see who gains the most followers throughout the World Cup tournament, particularly if England go on to do well.”

The news comes months after WHSmith and Marcus Rashford gave away a copy of the player’s latest book to a child every time his book was bought or pre-ordered.
