Samsung partners with Outsiders via outdoor retail display

Samsung KX has collaborated with outdoor equipment specialist Outsiders to bring to life The Freestyle in a camping set-up under Snow Peaks’ dynamic ‘Land Station’ tent in the middle of Coal Drops Yard, London.

The outdoor retail display, which was live until 23 October, highlighted a real life camping scenario featuring the products.

As part of the immersive display, a series of short films will also be presented and screened via The Freestyle by the Outsiders store.

Samsung ambassadors will also be on hand to demonstrate the capabilities of the take-anywhere projector.

“Through our collaboration with Outsiders, one of the UK’s leading premium outdoor and equipment specialists, we hope to inspire people to experience the benefits of the outdoors whilst getting hands on with this innovative technology,” Samsung Electronics UK&I VP TV/AV Dan Hastings said.

Samsung KX director of corporate marketing Amy Campbell added: “The immersive retail display provides us with a unique opportunity to showcase the benefits and features of The Freestyle projector in one of the capital’s most loved and iconic locations.”

The move comes as Iris launched an innovative folding billboard to drive awareness of the release of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4, the first time a tech brand has used a folding billboard in this way.

Global ad agency Iris was asked to present the unique nature of the phone and showcase Samsung’s leading position in the foldables market by creating an OOH campaign to run alongside the TV advert ‘#jointheflipside’.
