Ogilvy appoints Mick McCabe as new chief strategy officer

Ogilvy has named Mick McCabe as its new global chief strategy officer, succeeding Ben Richards a role filled by him for over 11 years.

Currently chief strategy officer at Publicis Groupe, McCabe will take the Ogilvy role that has been unoccupied for over eight months.

During McCabe’s time at Publicis he worked on some of the advertising group’s biggest accounts, including Allstate, Bank of America, CVS, Heineken, Samsung, Walmart, Altoids, BMW, Nintendo, Ikea, and McDonald’s.

In his new position, he will be responsible for delivering creative solutions for new and prospective clients and overseeing the company’s strategy across 131 offices in 93 countries.
