Pernod Ricard has appointed Dentsu agency Carat to run its media planning and buying account, following a competitive pitch process.
The move, which was reported by Campaign magazine, marks the culmination of a series of pitches since January, and comes as Pernod Ricard looks to find a single consolidated media partner.
Carat will handle media across 15 markets. The incumbent agency in the UK was Manning Gottlieb OMD who declined to comment according to Campaign.

Last year, Pernod Ricard was forced to backtrack on its plan to restart the supply of drink products to Russia after facing public pressure and a PR disaster over the move.
Other recent wins for Carat include brokering a lucrative sponsorship deal for Mowi salmon with ITV.
Carat also successfully retained Vodafone’s £400 million media account in 2022.
