EDF UK has appointed Lucky Generals and Tinman to act as its creative agencies and help showcase its green credentials, following a competitive pitching process run by the AAR.

The pair will launch a new long-term creative platform for the energy company in the UK, which will centre on conveying the firm’s activities in the low-carbon and renewable energy space.

“We are delighted to start our long-term relationship with Lucky Generals and Tin Man as we look to utilise their expertise to help bring customers with us on our journey towards supporting the country achieve net zero,” said EDF sales and marketing director Diana Bowden.

The account was previously held by Havas, however the agency reportedly opted not to take part in the review which was announced in January.

“People want change from energy suppliers and understandably think they’re all the same – EDF is the only company creating meaningful change through energy generation, building a sustainable future. We’re thrilled to be a part of that journey,” said Lucky Generals CEO Cressida Holmes-Smith.

Tinman CEO and co-founder Mandy Sharp said: “Tin Man and Lucky Generals have worked together for a long time and very successfully, delivering high impact, emotionally-engaging, brand-building campaigns.”

“We’re delighted to bring our own combination of strategic creativity and Communications with Heart to the energy sector for EDF.”
