Walkers promotes itself by offering Wembley seat next to Lineker

To coincide with its No Walkers, No Game campaign, crisp brand Walkers is giving football fans the chance to watch the sold out UEFA Champion’s League final in a VIP box at Wembley with Gary Lineker.

Building on the successful trailer with David Beckham and Thierry Henry, the campaign will see Walkers pick up the winners sofa and bring it over to Wembley for the ultimate private viewing experience at the game on June 1.

Entering the prize draw involves scanning a crisp packet and following instructions on their screen which appear via Instagram, having developed the move in partnership with Meta. It can only be accessed during the quarter final and semi final games.

The move comes after Gary Lineker redeemed himself by calling himself by calling them “crisps” after previously referring to them as “chips” causing quite a stir.

In December the England legend and Match of the Day pundit appeared as Father Christmas driving a Walkers-themed sleigh.

“We know people love to enjoy a tasty bag of Walkers while watching the football. No Walkers, No Game gives people another reason to have Walkers in hand,” said Walkers spokesperson Rachel Smith.

“For those that do an epic experience might come their way, and for those that don’t? Well, they may be left missing out. Our Walkers Detector does just that.”

“Only those with Walkers have the chance to unlock an epic VIP box experience with Gary at the UEFA Champions League Final,” she continued.
