Dunelm taps into spring vibes for Grease-inspired singalong campaign

Homeware retailer Dunelm is launching a Grease-inspired spring/summer campaign to showcase how its offering is ‘the one that you want’ with the warmer months just around the corner.

Centred around a 30-second ad developed by creative agency Creature London, the creative showcase Dunelm’s extensive range of home furniture, from dining sets and kitchenware to curtains, armchairs and bedding.

With media planning handled by Goodstuff, the campaign will be pushed out nationwide via TV, broadcaster video-on-demand, connected TV, radio, online and social media.




“We are bringing a little bit of joy into the homes of the UK this spring with our latest iteration of the Dunelm Home of Homes platform”, said Dunelm marketing director, Sean McGinty.

Directed by Vaughan Arnell, who has previously worked with Take That and George Michael, the film will look to position the homeware retailer as the go-to destination for all of its customers’ home furnishing needs.

Creature creative director, Josh Dando added: “In the first Dunelm ‘Home of Homes’ campaign, we focused on the wonderful chaos of the family home, but this time, we’re casting a wider net.

“From hosting couples, morning-sun-swerving-students and those who’ve finally got their home to themselves, we see them all find the perfect Dunelm item to solve their interiors dilemma. Set once again to the iconic track ‘You’re the one that I want’, it’s bound to make people across the country sing along, as well as think afresh about how they might be able to bring some spring freshness to their home”.
