Owner of Yorkshire Tea, Taylors of Harrogate, has promoted its marketing director to the role of strategy and innovation director.
Dom Dwight has previously worked as the company’s marketing director for eight years, with his new role set to focus on business strategy, innovation and diversification.
He joined the company in 2008 as a brand communications manager and took on more senior marketing positions before being appointed marketing director in 2016.
In recent years Yorkshire Tea has experienced strong growth, despite existing within a challenging category.

Speaking to Campaign Magazine Dwight said: “Despite a very challenging environment, Taylors of Harrogate is in rude health, especially when it comes to the momentum of Yorkshire Tea.”
“Sustaining that is crucial but it mustn’t come at the expense of thinking about the bigger picture – that’s why, despite the temptation to keep doing what I know and love, I’m really excited about this new brief”.
“Our independent family business has so much potential and it’s a privilege to be helping to shape its future.”
Notable campaigns from Yorkshire Tea – created in partnership with its agency of note Lucky Generals -include an Ibiza Club banger from last summer which played on the British habit to pack teabags for an overseas holiday, as well as an homage to National Yorkshire Day with Yorkie Dog Archie.
