Škoda spotlights carols and concerts to drive home festive spirit

In a festive campaign car brand Škoda puts a spotlight on the role of carols in evoking the spirit of Christmas.

Made with agency Nord DDB, the creative sees the brand collaborate with renowned children’s choir ‘Adolf Frederik’s Music Classes, and was led by the conductor Tony Margeta.

As part of the campaign, several crucial Christmas carols have been given updated lyrics such as “We Wish You a Merry Enyaq”, “Silent Ride”, “When You Wish Upon a…star” and 2A thousand Enyaqs are now being charged (A thousand candles are now being lit).

Tapping in to Sweden’s love of Christmas carols, the songs song by the choir of boys and girls aged 11 ,  — each of the reimagined songs highlights the product advantages of the all-electric Škoda  Enyaq, and sometimes poke a playful jab at competitors.

“With a generous dose of humour, we as Škoda are keen to direct people’s attention to our newly updated, fully electric Enyaq. Teaming up with the amazing Adolf Fredrik Music Classes and getting into the Christmas spirit, we’re aiming to spread some laughter and joy,” said Škoda Sweden marketing director Stefan Nygren.

Nord DDB creative director Wallin Ankarstrand added: “In our collaboration with Škoda, we’ve rolled out a variety of campaigns that are fun, witty, and imaginative, something that’s extra important during this busy time when so many brands are vying for attention.”
