What better way to celebrate Pancake Day than with a large slab of peanut butter on a warm, freshly-made pancake? Delicious, right.
But surprisingly a survey conducted by the brand Whole Earth found that peanut butter only ranks 15th in the nation’s preferences for topping their crêpes. Now, the natural food producers are encouraging pancake lovers to indulge in the nutty delight.
In an effort to promote peanut butter to top ten in the national pancake rankings – and in honour of its new Drizzler format – Whole Earth has partnered with chef Simon Rimmer to spread the message across the country.

TV-favourite Rimmer has featured in video campaigns for the brand, in which he showcases the spreadable product in recipes for banana cheesecake pancakes and an original take on peanut butter and jelly.
“Whole Earth’s results found that peanut butter didn’t make it in the top ten list for Pancake Day – even though millions of Brits love it. That’s why I’m calling on my fellow peanut butter lovers to join our nutty culinary crusade this Pancake Day to make it a nation’s favourite,” said Rimmer.
The campaign also encourages influencers and civilians alike to share their peanut butter pancake creations, with a competition which will see the winner take home a year’s supply of Drizzler products and a signed cookbook from Rimmer.
Whole Earth is also giving out up to 3,000 bottles of squeezy product to shoppers in Broadmead, Bristol.
