Following Wieden + Kennedy’s decision not to re-pitch for the Sainsbury’s account, the grocer has now named a shortlist of three creative agencies as part of its creative review.
According to Campaign, these agencies are New Commercial Arts, VCCP and Mother – Sainsbury’s has chosen not use a consultancy and has spoken to several other agencies before drawing up the shortlist.
The supermarket chain had boldly decided to end its 35-year association with AMV BBDO when it appointed Wieden + Kennedy in 2016, with the firm’s last major work for Sainsbury’s being its 2022 Christmas ad.
