adam&eveDDB walks away from John Lewis

Earlier this week, London agency adam&eveDDB passed up the opportunity to re-pitch for the John Lewis creative account.

The iconic retailer is now set to initiate a review of its overall advertising strategy as its looks for a new creative agency as its 14-year relationship with adam&eveDDB comes to an end.

The partnership has spawned numerous award-winning campaigns, catapulting the retailer to the top of the Christmas advertising charts year-on-year.

John West hires new international marketing director

Fish brand John West promoted Vikki Babb to the new position of international marketing director earlier this week.

Babb has worked for the company since 2020, and will assume the responsibility of managing the brand’s marketing.

Britvic appoints new marketing director

On 7 February Britvic appointed Munnawar Chishty as its new marketing director in a bid to drive transformation in the digital marketing space.

Chishty will join the brand later this year from Walgreen Boots Alliance, where she is currently vice president and global category director of beauty, leading a portfolio of brands including No7, Soap & Glory and Liz Earle. She also leads the team responsible for digital consumer experience transformation.

Weber Shandwick strengthens senior UK team with two new appointments

This week Weber Shandwick announced two new appointments to its senior UK team, with the promotion of Jes

s Dyas to managing director of the London Consumer team and Katie Hill to executive vice-president of earned media UK.

Dyas, who had previously held the role of senior vice-president of integrated media strategy will now lead the strategic comms firm’s consumer PR practice; and will be focused on developing its integrated offering and driving growth through new business and the existing client base.

Having previously worked as senior vice-president of client experience, Hill will now be based at Weber Shandwick’s Manchester offices where she will be responsible for earned media campaigns and media relations strategies for the agency’s consumer clients.

MUBI UK bolsters its marketing team

Streaming platform MUBI UK has bolstered its marketing team this week by promoting Edward Frost to global releases senior marketing manager, Avalon Lyndon to MUBI releases senior global marketing director and Ambhur Burghall to global releases marketing manager.

adam&eveDDB names new joint heads of integrated production as Ben Sharpe steps down 

Earlier this week, adam&eveDDB appointed Nikki Cramphorn and Sally Pritchett as joint heads of integrated production. The new pairing will now be tasked with overseeing the firm’s production department across all creative mediums.

Both Cramphorn and Pritchett have worked with adam&eveDDB’s production department for several years, producing multiple award-winning campaigns between them.

“We are extremely honoured to take on this mantle from Ben. We can’t think of another agency we would rather go on the journey with as the work speaks for itself and the people are the best in the business,” Pritchett said.

Vodafone names AMV BBDO as VOXI’s lead creative agency 

On Monday (6 February) telecom giant Vodafone appointed AMV BBDO as the new lead creative and strategic agency for its youth brand VOXI.

The London agency will be tasked with with enhancing VOXI’s brand awareness and customers recruitment, alongside a series of new creative campaigns to be released throughout the coming year.

“I am pleased to announce AMV BBDO as the new lead creative agency to help take VOXI to the next level. We launched VOXI in 2017 to provide value driven, innovative products to the youth segment and have seen significant growth in that period,” Vodafone UK and VOXI brand marketing director, Maria Koutsoudakis said.

Royal Match owner Dream Games appoints Spark Foundry as its media agency

Today (10 February) Dream Games – the mobile gaming company that owns the high-grossing game Royal Match – has appointed Spark Foundry as its UK media agency.

The creative agency will look after all offline media, including TV, Radio, OOH and sponsorship – resulting in £5m in billings.

Dream Games reportedly brought Spark Foundry on board to help grow the brand’s audience reach and drive new players, starting with launching Dream Games’ first ever UK TV campaign this month.

We Are Social names Black Sheep co-founder as new head of its London studios 

Earlier this week, social-led creative agency, We Are Social appointed Black Sheep co-founder Dan Keefe as head of its London studios, where he will lead a team of six.

Reporting into managing partner, Lucy Doubleday, Keefe’s new role will be centred around ‘championing creative excellence’ and pushing the boundaries of social-first film production.

Having seen off its most successful year to date, Keefe has been tasked with strengthening the agency’s relationships with major clients such as Meta, McCain and Pepsi; and will look to grow its portfolio over the coming year.

Carat UK appoints new client manager

Creative agency Carat UK appointed Heather Lynn as its new client manager earlier this week.
