Love Island star Tasha Ghouri signs with eBay in new brand partnership deal

Love Island contestant Tasha Gouri and eBay have signed a non-fast fashion brand partnership, marking the first deal to come out of the cult TV series.

The online marketplace, which provided islanders with pre-loved clothes throughout the series, wishes to continue to change the way consumers shop for clothes.

Tasha Gouri will become the brand’s first ever ‘Pre-Loved Ambassador’.

EBay describes the collaboration as ‘a natural next step’ in its aim to disuade UK shoppers against fast-fashion. The brand also considers the star to be a fashion-style icon, who put secondhand fashion ‘centre stage’ throughout the eighth series of the show.

“Over the past 8 weeks, we’ve seen Islander’s embrace pre-loved for the first time ever on mainstream TV, showing that simple additions or swaps to outfits can make all the difference – in so many ways,” eBay head of fashion Jemma Tadd said.

“Tasha has been a game-changer and her eye for style is undeniable. She is a fantastic role model for what fashion of the future looks like and we look forward to bringing Tasha’s vision and style to life as our partnership continues.”

Gouri herself took to Instagram to write: “Prior to going into Love Island I have always purchased secondhand for my wardrobe, so partnering with eBay really is a dream come true. I feel really passionately that we can all make little swaps to our wardrobes and our lives for the better and so I’m excited to join eBay on their mission to put secondhand fashion front and centre.”

“I’d like to think that over the last 8 weeks I have shown that pre-loved serves up amazing looks while bringing out my personality!”
