Superdrug unveils ‘Where you can be you’ employer brand to promote careers in retail

Superdrug has launched its new ‘Where you can be you’ employer brand to promote the ‘vibrancy’ and diversity of a career in retail.

The health and beauty retailer’s campaign, which puts its colleagues centre stage, was created to highlight the benefits of a career at Superdrug and raise awareness of the varied roles available in the retail sector.

“From the fast pace of the shop floor and behind the scenes at the distribution centres, to roles in our healthcare teams, to an award-winning apprenticeship scheme and a variety of head office roles – the campaign focuses on the fact that whatever your role, all that matters is that you can just be you,” Superdrug added.

In the initiative created by agency Reflect, a total of 16 standout employees will feature across the brand’s talent channels and describe their time at Superdrug.

Jane, a clinical nurse adviser for the company claimed that it is ‘a really fun place to work’, while Ryan Williams, part of Superdrug’s operations team said that ‘Superdrug make anything feel achievable’.

“Our people make us the business we are and this campaign highlights the diversity of a career in retail,” Superdrug people director Amy Davies said.

“We nurture and develop talent across all of our teams and to hear the lovely stories in our campaign makes me feel really proud to be part of such an incredible business.”

“With vacancies increasing nationally, we really want to support those that are looking to get back to work after years of uncertainty, as well as those looking for a new opportunity within the right brand.”

Just last month, Superdrug teamed up with poverty and campaigner activist Jack Monroe to bring customers a number of initiatives and offers in light of the cost of living crisis.

Davies added: “We are also passionate about offering the UK’s young people opportunities and our apprenticeship scheme, which is now in its 15th year, is critical for developing talent for the future.

“Our aim is to not only to give young people, but everyone, the best entry into retail that we can, but also to help them grow and develop in their roles, so they choose to progress their careers within our businesses.”
