Ukrainian beer to be sold at O2 Arena as part of humanitarian efforts

Ukrainian beer brand Chernigivske is set to be sold at London’s O2 Arena as part of a humanitarian relief effort to help the people of war-stricken Ukraine.

The initiative has been implemented by the arena’s official beer partner Budweiser, with the US brewery brokering a landmark partnership between the Ukrainian beer and the O2, which will see it sold and stocked at the arena until September.

The special edition Chernigivske cans will feature the Ukrainian flag and a message stating that proceeds from their sale will go directly to aiding humanitarian efforts in Ukraine.

Both beer brands are owned by Belgian multination, AB InBev which began brewing Chernigivske in several countries last month, including the US, UK, Belgium, Canada, Germany and the Netherlands with all profits going to charities assisting the Ukrainian people.

The brewery giant also announced that it would be donating at least £4 million to designated charities with a presence in Ukraine, including Caritas International.

Now available at the O2 are 4.8% ABV cans of Chernigivske’s flagship ‘light’ range, customers can purchase them from the Camden Craft Bar, on level one of the arena and the Budweiser Bar on level two along with all premium bars and lounges.

“We’re delighted to be supporting such a worthy initiative alongside our long-term partner AB InBev, as well as Levy UK, and bringing Chernigivske to fans visiting The O2 arena”, The O2 senior partnerships director, Laura Palairet said.

“As a business, we’re continually looking for ways that we can make a difference and are proud to be working with partners who share this mission.”

Chernigivske marketing director, Anna Rudenko added: “I’m proud that we can leverage our expertise, scale and ecosystem to support humanitarian relief efforts by introducing Chernigivske in the UK.

We are thrilled that Chernigivske will be available at The O2, offering our consumers the opportunity to directly contribute to this effort.”
