Footwear retailer Clarks has partnered with two iconic music legends for its AW23 campaign, as part of its mission to move forward, celebrate authenticity and drive social progress.

The shoe and accessory brand has teamed up with Grammy Award-winning music legend Nile Rodgers and critically acclaimed singer and songwriter Beabadoobee to share the pair’s unique experiences and perspectives on the world.

The campaign hopes to champion authentic connection, explore how self-expression has shaped their lives and highlight the ever-growing importance of community. It was unveiled alongside images of each talent wearing a recent iteration of Clarks shoe design the Torhill, as well as other own-brand footwear styles.

“At Clarks, we feel that when we move together, small steps become big strides. Our mantra is to ‘empower everyone with the freedom to move comfortably’,” said Clarks global chief marketing and digital officer, Tara McRae, adding that Clarks makes shoes that “accommodate that journey”.

“Two incredible individuals who we feel have a history – and future – of building a stronger society are music legend Nile Rodgers and critically acclaimed artist Beabadoobee,” continued McRae.

“Both originators and innovators, each is supremely talented in their own right – sharing our progressive values and wearing autumn/winter Clarks silhouettes just as iconic and game-changing as they are,” McRae added.

In support of the campaign, Clarks hosted an event with Rodgers and Beabadoobee to raise awareness for the non-profit organisation, We Are Family Foundation – an initiative that promotes cultural diversity and mentors emerging talents.

The latest collaboration follows in the wake of the shoe brand recently teaming up with England footballer Raheem Sterling for a comedic campaign celebrating a back to school shoe range for children.
