Raheem Sterling and Clarks bring laughter to the ‘Back to School’ rush in playful campaign

England international Raheem Sterling has appeared in a comedic new campaign for shoe brand Clarks, featuring young school children mocking the football star’s running style.

Raheem Sterling has released a comedic new campaign for children's shoe brand, Clarks, featuring young school children mocking the football star's running style, depicting two young children sitting side by side in a mock documentary style interview
Two young children express their surprise at the footballer’s height… or lack of it.

In the TikTok video for Clarks, the footballer demonstrates to the primary-aged children how to do a typical training drill, yet when they repeat the action back to him, they cheekily copy an over-exaggerated version of his famously unique running style.

The camera then pans to Sterling, who in disbelief says “Oh wow. They’re not mocking me are they?”, before a school teacher reassures him that at least he “likes the way he runs”.

Another scene sees two children point out in a mock documentary interview style, that “Raheem is quite small in real life”.

The amusing film comes as part of Sterling’s ‘Back to School’ campaign collaboration with Clarks, which sees the Chelsea winger release a co-designed collection with the brand, for sport-inspired school shoes.

The campaign comes as the football star recently teamed-up with award-winning music video director, Carly Cussen to kick-start a new creative agency, Playmaker Films.

“When it came to starting my own production company, she was the obvious choice,” said Sterling, speaking earlier about the new agency.

“We’ve got some great projects lined up, with some amazing brands and talent, including Clark’s ‘Back To School’ campaign which was a lot of fun to create and shoot. I can’t wait for the world to see what we’ve got up our sleeves,” he added.

This is not the first brand Sterling has represented, last year both New Balance and Samsung recruited the footballer to be a brand ambassadors.
