Boots is looking to unleash the ‘magic of beauty’ this festive season, with a blockbuster 2024 Christmas spot starring Bridgerton’s Adjoa Andoh as ‘Mrs. Claus’.
Developed in partnership with VML’s dedicated creative agency for the Walgreens-Boots Alliance, The Pharm, the campaign will be centred around a 60-second hero spot that reminds viewers that the retailer has a present for every kind of beauty enthusiast.
Diverging from 2022 and 2023’s relatively stripped-back efforts, this year’s campaign has a big-budget Hollywood feel, showcasing how Mrs. Claus and her fashionista elves are the real powerhouse behind Father Christmas’ incredible productivity.
“As the UK’s favourite beauty retailer, we are on a mission to spread magic and excitement to beauty enthusiasts this Christmas, whilst also recognising the unsung powerhouses who make Christmas so special. This advert is the perfect culmination of both, and I cannot wait to see the reaction and help gift-givers find the perfect gift this Christmas,” Boots CMO, Pete Markey said.
“In the past 12 months – our 175th anniversary year – we have expanded our beauty offering even further by launching another 55 new beauty brands, including some of the biggest names in beauty such as Prada Beauty, Made by Mitchell and Supergoop! With 1,300 gifts to choose from and over 160 of the hottest trending brands, we want to wow you and your loved ones this Christmas.”

Directed by production firm Radical and iconic music video director Dave Meyers, the lavish festive spot is set to Eve’s 2001 smash hit ‘Who’s That Girl?’
Throughout the film, Boots celebrates the 55 new beauty brands it has launched in the past year, as well as 46 dedicated new seasonal gifting brands for Christmas 2024.
