Dentsu’s chief commercial officer Steven Ballinger has left the business today, after 22 years at the company.

A spokesperson for Dentsu told Campaign magazine that he is leaving to “pursue new opportunities in the market”.
Writing on LinkedIn Ballinger said “After 22 years at Dentsu, I’m bidding farewell to this chapter of my career”.
He added that he is “immensely proud” of the work he had achieved with the team at Dentsu in “driving profitable growth” and “transforming commercial strategies and relationships across the market”.

Ballinger started out at Dentsu-owned Carat as a TV planner and buyer in 2002, before being promoted to director of that department. He then moved up to the role of head of broadcast at Carat, before joining Dentsu, initially as chief media investment officer in 2014.
He then rose through the ranks at Dentsu to become chief commercial officer in June 2023.
Dentsu suffered a 3.7% organic drop in net revenue to £1.5 billion in the first quarter of 2024 and has undergone restructuring.
Dentsu X’s managing director Kim Berkin left her role after more than five years at the business just last week.
