Dentsu UK and Ireland to axe 2% of jobs

Dentsu UK and Ireland is set to axe 2% of its jobs as part of its ongoing ‘One Dentsu’ restructuring programme.

In total, 67 employees are due to leave the advertising firm. Around 4% of staff have been put into a consultation process, which is due to come to a close at the end of January.

The agency hopes to have put its new structure in place by the end of February.

According to Campaign, the restructure has not been motivated by a desire to cut costs but rather to enable Dentsu to hire in the “right areas” for future growth.

As part of the proposed plans, Dentsu is considering combining its specialist media effectiveness and data and analytics teams.
