Leo Burnett promotes award-winning duo behind McDonald’s ‘Raise Your Arches’

Leo Burnett UK has promoted Andrew Long and James Millers to executive creative directors, bolstering its senior creative team under chief creative officer Mark Elwood.

Both have worked for the creative agency since 2017 and have led the creative output for the flagship McDonald’s UK account for the past four years, producing numerous award-winning campaigns.

The creative partners have been integral in helping spearhead work on recent high-profile campaigns to the US juggernaut, including ‘Raise Your Arches’, ‘Keep Up With The Times’ and ‘Fries Claims’.

“Jim and Andy are a fantastically talented creative team and luckily great people too. They have been the driving force behind our most loved and awarded work with McDonald’s in recent years,” Elwood said.

“I’m looking forward to working with them even more closely as they step up to support the running and direction of the creative department and take a front seat role in mentoring and inspiring our new talent.”

In their new roles, Long and Millers will continue to lead creative work on the McDonald’s account, working closely with Elwood to manage creative department and help oversee work from across the agency.

Prior to their time at Leo Burnett UK, Long and Millers had spent three years at MullenLowe working on the Knorr, British Heart Foundation and Persil accounts. They had also spent several years at M&C Saatchi earlier in their careers.

Long and Millers added: “We love everything about Leo Burnett, from the culture to the populist creativity the agency is known for. The last few years have been so rewarding, but the thing that gets us really excited is the feeling we’re just getting started.

“We can’t wait to get stuck into our new role working more broadly across the agency, and more closely with the next generation of talent at Leo Burnett.”
