KFC UK and Ireland has appointed Kate Wall as its new marketing director, moving her across from her role as strategy and innovation director. She will take up her new role on 1 December.

Wall’s elevation comes nearly five years after she joined the US fast-food giant as head of advertising and retail in 2019. She was made strategy and innovation director in 2021.

Her appointment will strengthen the female element within KFC’s leadership team, working under the firm’s chief marketing officer Monica Pool.

Wall will now be responsible for overseeing all consumer-facing elements of the KFC brand, its strategic direction and distinctive tone of voice, working with a cross-functional team across brand, media, loyalty, social, consumer PR, CRM and marketing operations.

She continued: “We have the most brilliant team of marketers – full of bold creativity and explosive insights – alongside dedicated agency partners, and I am confident that together, we will launch our much-loved brand into its defining next chapter.”

Pool added: “Kate’s promotion to marketing director is a testament to her authentic leadership and ability to motivate teams through her infectious energy and incredible commercial acumen.
