JET unveils ‘beautifully surreal’ CGI-animated campaign

Petrol station chain JET has unveiled the first instalment of its ‘Keep on Moving’ campaign with two new spots that will form part of a six-week programme of activity.

Titled ‘Balloons’ and ‘Lightbulbs’, the two surrealist films were developed by London-based indie agency Isobel and were created entirely using CGI technology.

Directed by the Perlorian Brothers and produced by MJZ, the films include an original musical score created exclusively for the campaign, which is set to run nationwide across Sky AdSmart video-on-demand, linear TV, YouTube and social media.

“After the success of the original Keep on Moving campaign, we wanted to retain JET’s core message but with a new spin,” Iobel creative director, Simon Findlater, said.

“Using visual metaphors and the brands iconic blue and yellow palette, we aimed to focus in on the role JET plays in helping facilitate road journeys as a driver-first business.”

Kicking off a wider series of activations over the year, the campaign follows on from last summer’s popular ‘Forecourt Dramas’ ad series that lampooned the range of sticky situations that can befall us all on the road.

UK Marketing Phillips 66 Limited brand manager, Áine Corkery, added: “With this campaign, we really wanted to celebrate the joy of driving for all drivers, while at the same time demonstrating that JET is focused on helping drivers to Keep on Moving.

“It achieves both perfectly, and all while using the JET brand colour palette – yellow and blue. We’re very proud to share it with the world and to kick off what will be a major campaign for us.”
