Pot Noodle calls out government pothole failures by fixing the problem themselves

Pot Noodle has this week kicked off a quirky new campaign backed by a bizarre creative centred around a range of different ‘holes’ being ‘filled’ by a Pot Noodle.

‘Nothing Fills A Hole Like A Pot Noodle’ revolves around a 50-second spot which features a wide variety of ‘holes’, including a pothole, pool table sockets and even a postbox being filled by the instant snack.

Developed by London agency Adam&EveDDB, the creative aims to highlight the hunger-satisfying abilities of a Pot Noodle – whilst also cheekily criticising the dire state of Britain’s roads, where one in every nine miles is in urgent need of repair.

“In today’s purpose-driven advertising, there can be no higher calling than plugging a hole on the B372 with a steaming hot portion of Bombay Bad Boy,” Adam&EveDDB creative Richard McGrann said.

Running on TV throughout this week, the creative will be supported by digital out-of-home, print, social media and PR activity – with specific sites in Surrey, Essex and Northamptonshire targeted where there is a high instance of potholes.

Another creative ate adam&eveDDB, Andy Clough added: “Once you’ve stuffed a postbox with Chicken & Mushroom Pot Noodle, you begin to see a world full of opportunities.”
