Ex Accenture managing director joins tech company Studiospace

Former Accenture managing director George Patten has joined ‘rapidly growing’ tech company Studiospace.

Joining as global client leader, the appointment of Patten comes amid several high level appointments including TSB chief marketing officer Emma Springham and former Direct Line chief marketing officer Mark Evans.

Patten – hailed as an industry veteran – has worked around the world, most recently spending 12 years in Singapore, including working at Dentsu as APAC chief operating officer.

He believes that the tech company – which was launched in January 2022 and has over 200 agencies on its platform – is defining a new, global way of creating marketing relationships.

“I’ve not met anyone in marketing and media who doesn’t think this is a great idea,” Patten said. “It totally transforms how chief marketing officers find talent, as they can access over 200 brilliant agencies. Studiospace is so exciting because it is innovative, disruptive and scalable, and founded by a team that has a track record of huge success. Joining at this period will allow me to help Studiospace to scale at pace across three continents.”

The company has connected agencies with the likes of Aviva, Jaguar Land Rover and Google.

Studiospace CEO Pete Sayburn believes that bringing Patten on board will strengthen plans to bring new business leaders and marketing experts on board.

“Many of Studiospace’s clients are global brands and so Patten’s experience of working with these kinds of companies internationally is just what we need,” Sayburn added. “We are really looking forward to benefiting from his experience and contacts.

“I also think it’s really great news for some of the small, independent agencies on our platform, who are now even more likely to be able to gain access to the best briefs from around the world.

“Patten will add a wealth of marketing experience to our growing team and help us fulfil our ambitions for a global network of marketing talent.”
