Camelot National Lottery OOH ad debuts in Westfield Shepherds Bush

Camelot has erected an out-of-home (OOH) advertisement to accompany the group’s National Lottery festive spot.

The Christmas ad, directed by Tom Hooper, tells the love story of a couple who meet on the train. When they reunite towards the end of the ad, the pair realise that the ticket the man wrote his phone number on, is in fact a winning ticket.

The OOH ad, created by Dentsu and developed by Adam&Eve/DDB, showcases the couple and their winning lottery ticket.

Live for two weeks at The Pump Station at Westfield Shepherds Bush, the billboard aims to target passing pedestrians.

“We want to bring our Christmas love story to as many people in as many formats as possible. The National Lottery head of marketing communications, Anna McInally, said.

“Our special build at Westfield is designed to raise awareness of our lucky love-struck couple and bring a bit of Christmas magic to people as they do their Christmas shopping.”

The news comes eight months after the Gambling Commission imposed a £3.15 million financial penalty on National Lottery operator Camelot UK for three technical failures made on its mobile app.
