Iceland has launched its official Christmas advert, #NotYetNoddy, to prevent any premature Yuletide celebrations with the help of Slade frontman Noddy Holder.
Premiering on ITV’s I’m a Celebrity tomorrow evening (Saturday 19 November), the advert is asking customers to focus on supporting England and Wales in the World Cup, before they begin celebrating the festive season.
The advert – made by Manchester-based agency, Meanwhile.. – comes after a week of Holder being live streamed for a week where he has been left looking extremely bored in an empty room, where Iceland reveals its official not-Christmas campaign.

The advert also features the booming voice of iconic actor Brian Blessed OBE, who interrupts Holder before he can say the iconic line, “Its Christmaaaaas”.
In the advert, Blessed says: “‘No, no, no! Not yet Noddy! Don’t you know the football’s on’. Instead, he goes onto reveal a huge spread of party food deals that the viewers can buy now from the frozen supermarket.”
Iceland Foods marketing director Casper Nelson said: “We’ve taken the unusual step of silencing the Christmas legend. With the World Cup kicking off on Sunday we need the nation to be putting their energy into supporting the England and Wales football teams.”
