Publicis agency Starcom UK recruits managing partner of iProspect owned by Dentsu

Publicis Groupe agency Starcom UK has recruited Lin-Sze Teh as its head of planning.

Having previously worked for Dentsu creative agency iProspect for seven years as a managing partner, Teh is proven to have vast experience in the industry.

Starting at the beginning of next year, the new head of planning will report to CEO Nadine Young and lead a team of 80 planners to focus on driving ‘faster growth’ for clients.

The appointment comes as Starcom looks to ensure a ‘clear and consistent’ approach to media, ‘fuelled’ by Publicis Media’s data, tools, and systems.

“With all the success we’ve had as an agency this past year or so, the creation of this role is a clear next step to supercharge our products and put even more focus on planning brilliance,” Young said.

“Lin-Sze has exactly the right balance of knowledge and ambition to hit the ground running and inspire the rest of the agency. I can’t wait to have her on board.”

Prior to working for iProspect, Teh has also held roles at MG OMD and UM in media planning and strategy. She has worked across brands including IKEA, 20th Century Fox, Weetabix, Hendricks, Panasonic, NARS, Dolce & Gabbana, Burberry and MINI.

Teh herself added: “It’s no secret that Starcom’s been on fire recently and I couldn’t say no to the opportunity of working with Nadine and the talented team at Starcom. Their vision for the agency and approach to solving client challenges is inspiring, and I cannot wait to get started.”

The news comes a month after Publicis parted company with its long-serving global chief marketing officer, Justin Billingsley, following ‘inappropriate comments’ made by the CMO during a client meeting.
