Social media firm Snapchat has announced a wide-ranging content partnership with ITV, covering the network’s upcoming FIFA World Cup 2022 coverage alongside flagship shows Love Island and I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

Snapchat will host made-for-mobile, short-form ITV content via its news feed, Snapchat Discover. As part of the partnership, the media platform will also create augmented reality lenses for selected ITV programmes in order to produce new, immersive viewing experiences for its users.

Through its premium content platform, Discover, Snapchat users will be able to access extensive Love Island content including First Look, Daily Episodes, Weekly Round Up and Love Island Aftersun. Pre-match content and official highlights from ITV’s 2022 FIFA World Cup coverage will equally be made available via the platform.#

Through the upcoming partnership ITV will be hoping to reach a younger audience, as 90% of 13-24 year-olds in the UK use the platform regularly.

“We’re really excited to be partnering with Snapchat,” ITV director, digital & creative partnerships, Bhavit Chandrani said.

“The Gen Z community on Snapchat is highly engaged and we’re keen to offer them the opportunity to view ITV content in different ways. This partnership is a great opportunity for us to continue to engage with this community and our audiences in a new environment.”
