Mindful Drinking Festival headlined by Heineken

A host of global brands including Heineken have partnered with the 10th Mindful Drinking Festival, set to be held in Brighton over the weekend of 9-10 July this summer.

Hosted by the Club Soda movement, the festival will take place at The Open Market at the heart of the city and will bring together brands that offer alcohol-free alternatives, such as Heineken 0.0, Lyre’s Spirits, Noughty Wines and Double Dutch.

The brands selected are in keeping with the event’s core values, which is to ‘celebrate the world’s best low and non-alcoholic drinks.’

The headline sponsors will join over 40 other brands appearing at the event, the festival also offers visitors the chance to take part in cocktail masterclasses, beer tastings and drink talks with local experts, and to sit in on ‘inspirational talks’ with experts on how to change drinking habits and boost wellbeing.

The Club Soda movement’s main aims are to help people change their drinking habits by cutting down, taking a break or stopping altogether, but also to make the public aware of the growing list of low and non-alcoholic alternatives on offer.

“A festival in Brighton has been a long-time in the works and we are so glad this is our first big event after Covid,” Club Soda founder Laura Willoughby MBE, said.

“You don’t have to be alcohol-free come along, you may just want to swap out a few alcoholic drinks for something a bit healthier. So, whether you’re going sugar-free, on a fitness regime, drinking more mindfully, or going alcohol-free, we know you will find something to hit the spot.”

Heineken UK head of media & corporate affairs, Joanna Dring added: “Events such as the Mindful Drinking Festival are testament to how far the sector has grown over the last few years.

“No longer do people who choose not to drink alcohol have to compromise with their drinks choices.

“We believe in there always being a choice for people, so we’re proud to have Heineken 0.0, Birra Moretti Alcohol-Free and Old Mout Berries & Cherries cider alongside some of the most innovative alcohol-free drinks in the country at the festival in Brighton.”
