Shhh!: Cadbury hints launch of Twirl Caramel with hidden adverts

Cadbury has announced that it is launching Twirl Caramel with a series of adverts hidden in unique and unexpected places.

An advert featuring the text, “So limited we’re asking you to keep it to yourself”, was spotted on the banks of the Royal Victoria Dock in Greenwich.

Eagle-eyed passers-by managed to spot the posters, which were at first submerged at high tide, and post photos of the ads on social media.

More unusual advertisement placements have been creating hype across the country, with one even featuring on a remote island with a population of two people. Another was also spotted in the UK’s least used train station.

The Mondelez product will be introduced to the nation as a fresh take on the Cadbury Twirl, with caramel embedded into the thin layers of the iconic chocolate bar.

“We’re so excited to announce the launch of Twirl Caramel, but we want people to know that this is a limited-edition bar, one that we know is going to be popular,” Mondelez Cadbury Twirl brand manager, Frederike Grohmann, said.

“That’s why we’ve been controlling the hype with our adverts, which only the most eagle-eyed Cadbury fans will have spotted.”

Cadbury Twirl is set to launch next month and will be available nationwide.
