Reese’s declares #ILoveReesesDay in UK

Hershey-owned Reese’s Cups has launched #ILoveReesesDay in the UK, asking the public to share the way they eat the peanut butter and chocolate treat online.

The announcement has been made alongside the chocolate company’s launch of ‘I Love Reese’s’ month worldwide.

The campaign will roll out on digital and social media, and will ask chocolate lovers to share the way they eat Reese’s Cup on Instagram (@reesesuk) using #AnythingButOrdinary and #ILoveReesesDay.

“Let’s face it. Whether you eat the whole Reese’s Cup in one bite, stack a couple on top of each other, or strategically eat the chocolate before the peanut butter, you are winning,” Hershey said.

“While the best consumption method is a heated topic of debate amongst our loyal fans, there’s one fact that’s undebatable: the love of Reese’s Cups is a love like no other.”

“Our fans know that while there’s definitely no wrong way to enjoy the undeniable magic of Reese’s Cups, there’s arguably the ‘rightest’ way,” Hershey AEMEA marketing director Ahmad Nasser said.

“From the ‘sammich’ method (eating from the outer edges in) to the ‘peeler’ to the ‘pro,’ we get that the way you enjoy an iconic Reese’s Cup is personal.”

The brand will share its favourite eating methods on its social media platforms as part of the nationwide campaign.
