Havas acquires digital agency Search Laboratory

Havas Group has announced the acquisition of Search Laboratory, an integrated digital agency that specialises in data and analytics, for an undisclosed sum.

The buyout comes as part of a bid to further strengthen the media group’s domestic and international digital marketing and data capabilities.

The agency will integrate into Havas Media Group and work alongside Havas Market, Havas Entertainment and Havas Media. With offices in Leeds, the acquisition will also allow the group to tap into “a new talent pool” outside its current offices in .

“Search Laboratory’s sophisticated expertise in data and analytics perfectly complements our own to create an enhanced offering that will help brands to activate their data in more meaningful ways,” Havas Group CEO and chairman Yannick Bolloré said.

“The acquisition of Search Laboratory comes at a time where Havas Media Group is experiencing an impressive period of growth and momentum.”

The digital agency, formed in 2005, is also a “trusted” Google Marketing Platform Sales partner that offers expert implementation, training and ongoing support for the platform’s advanced suite of tools.
