Fashion and lifestyle platform N Brown Group has appointed Arfan Sabir as its new trading and marketing director.
In the newly created role, Sabir will bring together the retailer’s trading and marketing functions for the first time.
The move will create a “stronger, more integrated approach” which will “sharpen the group’s focus on commercial trading opportunities, elevate the customer experience, and accelerate growth”, according to the business.
Sabir most recently served as vice president ecommerce for electronics company Avnet from 2022 to 2023.

He has also held senior ecommerce roles at retailers such as Lego, Mothercare, and Dreams.
“I’m thrilled to be joining N Brown at such an exciting time,” Sabir said.
“Bringing trading and marketing together will ensure an even sharper focus on commercial trading opportunities, while delivering a cohesive and customer-focused approach that drives growth and strengthens the group’s market position,” he added.
N Brown CEO of retail Dene Jones said: “The creation of the trading and marketing director role reflects our commitment to driving commercial excellence and delivering an outstanding customer experience.
“Arfan’s proven track record in omni-channel digital transformation and growth makes him the ideal person to lead this combined function, and we are excited to welcome him to the business.”
The news comes after N Brown promoted Clare Empson to its newly created role of chief customer operations officer earlier this year, in a bid to elevate its customer experience.
Under her role, Empson oversees the retailer’s customer journey and experience, including supply chain, customer service and customer insight, ensuring accountability for those areas that directly impact the customer experience across its retail brands.
