A shake-up at Sky Media is putting up to 100 jobs from its UK workforce at risk, with the broadcaster now set to enter a consultation period covering 140 roles.
First reported in Campaign, the UK-based firm is understood to be contemplating outsourcing as many as 100 of these roles to consulting and outsourcing company Cognizant.
The affected 140 UK staff will reportedly be invited to apply for 40 new local commercial roles, and that those affected could also be offered redeployment.

A Sky spokesperson said: “We’re evolving how we operate to better serve our clients and partners, while ensuring Sky Media is well-positioned for long-term success in an increasingly competitive advertising market.
“This is about building a future-ready business that continues to prioritise the needs of our clients and partners.”
The drastic measure is intended to o reallocate the administrative workload of the 140 roles to Cognizant, replacing these roles with 40 new ones focused on strategy and clients.
