Online marketplace eBay is highlighting its role in the circular economy with its first ever Pre-loved Fashion Week catwalk event, taking place across both London and New York.

The initiative forms part of a new partnership with the British Fashion Council and the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDS).

Entitled the ‘Endless Runway’, the live event will precedes the official New York and London fashion week schedules, featuring pre-loved looks from designers including Khaite, Off-White, Christopher Kane and Simone Rocha.

Available exclusively on eBay Live on 12 September at 6pm, shoppers in the UK and the US will be able to watch the shows live. Drops of the pre-loved clothing will then be made available on the marketplace during the respective fashion weeks.

“eBay has been a driving force in promoting more sustainable fashion,” said eBay fashion general manager Kirsty Keoghan.

With the launch of Pre-Loved Fashion Week, we’re showing up on fashion’s biggest stage and demonstrating that authentic designer fashion doesn’t have to be out of reach.”
