Primark and Warner Brothers have teamed up to create a new Beetlejuice themed fashion collection ahead of the ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ release on 6 September.
As part of the collaboration, which revives the 1988 dark fantasy cult classic, the retailer has worked with Warner Bros Entertainment and Oscar-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood to create a limited edition collection.
Taking to LinkedIn Primark’s global director of license and brands Sarah Jackson said: “Excited to announce that our latest campaign is launching in all Primark stores globally today! This collection is a must see for Tim Burton fans, just in time for the new movie release”.

A Beetlejuice-theme out-of-home takeover at Westfield Stratford City saw the prime shopping centre transformed into a ghoulish nod to the film.

Directed by Tim Burton and acting as a sequel to the 1988, Beetlejuice will see the return of the original cast including Michael Keaton as Beetlejuice, Winona Ryder as Lydia Deetz and Catherine O’Hara as Delia Deetz.

The film’s release is set to be the biggest global marketing event of the year, with fashion collaborations with Forever 21 and Target to come.
There will also be Halloween special Beetlejuice-themed collections at Canadian fashion retailer Cakeworthy.
“As we saw to phenomenal effect last year with the #Barbie movie, tapping into pop culture can give brands from all kinds of categories a commercial opportunity to connect with unique fandoms,” wrote Really Good Culture retail specialist Phil McMahon on LinkedIn.
