Decathlon has shared a new film to promote its partnership with UEFA, as it unveils the newest match balls for the UEFA Europa League and Europa Conference League.
Entitled ‘Defying Logic’ the retailer’s 60-second film is created by creative agency Lafourmi.
Commencing on a local grassroots pitch it starts with the phrase “Logic says that a professional football is never played on a pitch like this one”.
“Logic says that a ball isn’t supposed to make you faster, until it does,” it continues.
“Logic is gonna tell you the best ball in the world is for the best players in the world”

“But logic doesn’t bounce itself against a wall 2500 times a row to make itself perfect”
“Logic doesn’t put smiles on faces and logic could never make this moment here as important as that one there. So don’t let logic do the talking. Football speaks for itself,” it concludes.
It is supported by shorter executions and activations from the agency.

The partnership between the sportswear retailer’s football brand Kipsta and UEFA was announced in November last year, with the retailer set to act as football supplier from 2024 to 2027.
