Veriça Djurdjevic announces departure from Channel 4

Channel 4’s chief revenue officer Veriça Djurdjevic is set to leave the business at the end of this year. The news was broken to staff earlier today (9 July).

Djurdjevic will stay with the broadcaster for a further several months in order to facilitate an orderly transition. She leaves after close to four years in the role, having steered Channel 4 through a highly turbulent period.

Upon joining the business at the height of the pandemic in November 2020, Djurdjevic led the Channel 4 commercial team through a complex period in which it sought to bounce back from the economic downturn caused by successive lockdowns and privatisation fears.

Speaking to Campaign, who first broke the news, Djurdjevic said: “It has been a privilege to lead the Channel 4 Sales team through a pivotal time in Channel 4’s history. I am incredibly proud of the team and their customer-centric approach, which has led to the creation of new solutions for both new and old business problems.”

She leaves the business as its begins it Future4 strategy set out by CEO Alex Mahon in which the media giant will look to become a digital-first broadcaster by 2030.
