Nike has enlisted the services of some of the football world’s biggest names for a pair of blockbuster spots as this summer’s Euros and Copa America get underway.
Developed by creative agency Wieden + Kennedy London, Nike’s extended 140-second ‘Awaken Your Madness’ celebrates the borderline neurotic dedication that professional sports stars need to show in order to succeed at the elite level.
Featuring France and Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappé, Brazil and Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior and Manchester City and Norway’s Erling Haaland, the film even sees former Brazil and Barcelona legend Ronaldinho appear as a Messiah-like figure to guide the players in their ‘madness’.

The second, more simplistic film sees Germany and Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala taking on a sea of faceless defenders in a storm before dribbling the ball off into the clear sunshine.
Nike’s films were directed by Magna’s Sam Pilling and MJZ’s Matilda Finn respectively.
The creative team at Wieden + Kennedy was made up of creative director’s Albert Pukies and Becca Pottinger alongside senior creatives Adam Crockett, Sammy Watts Stanfield and Will Wells.
Both films come ahead of a packed summer of football with Mbappé and Musiala representing their nations at the Euros in Germany while Vinicius Junior’s will look to wrest the Copa America off Messi’s Argentina.
