Kicking a man while he’s down doesn’t seem very nice does it? But that’s exactly what WeRoad has done to James Maddison and Jack Grealish with its latest out-of-home activation.
Both players missed out on England’s final 26-man squad list for the Euro finals in Germany this month, leading to the travel firm rather provocatively inviting them on a holiday instead.
Devised by creative agency Dude London, the mobile out-of-home activation containing their respective ‘invites’ has been driven around both players’ home grounds; Manchester City’s the Etihad and Tottenham Hotspur’s White Hart Lane.

“With the eyes of the world preparing to tune into the start of the Euros on Friday, we saw an incredible opportunity to capture the publics attention by linking WeRoad to the fact that Jack Grealish and James Maddison were left out of the England squad with a bold and memorable stunt,” WeRoad chief marketing officer, Fabio Bin said.
“Our goal is always to get people dreaming about their next adventure. Whether you’re a diehard football fan or just someone looking for inspiration to explore new cultures, we hope that this mobile billboard will have people packing your bags before the final whistle blows.’’
Produced by WeRoad’s in-house marketing team, the out-of-home was also driven around high impact locations in both London and Manchester at sites including the London Eye, Trafalgar Square and the Northern Quarter.
